Tresco, Isles of Scilly, May 2003

Part of the Tresco Abbey gardens - really worth a visit.

Non-canoeing members of the group are able to get to the island by using one of the many small ferries that cross between St Mary's and Tresco.

The canoeing party were able to paddle to the island in sea kayaks. But first they made a visit to to Samson, and up the channel between Bryher and Tresco.

Approaching Hangman Island, with Cromwell Castle to the right, almost directly above Sandra's head!

Appletree Bay on Tresco. We left the kayaks here, and made a visit to the gardens. The island of Samson is on the horizon.
